Why side by side can be more trustworthy

A reveal emphasizes the dividing line, but side by side keeps both complete views visible. That makes it a strong choice when framing differs, when viewers need time to inspect several details, or when the comparison will be printed or included in a report.

Use it for renovation records, design versions, document corrections, restoration notes, project milestones, product revisions, and photo-editing reviews.

Prepare a readable comparison

Keep scale meaningful

If one photo is a close-up and the other is wide, viewers may misread the apparent size of a change. Crop the originals to comparable subject scale when accuracy matters.

Use consistent context

Include enough surroundings to orient the viewer. Permanent edges, rulers, dates, or version numbers can add context that labels alone cannot.

Check small-screen detail

Two images share one output width, so fine text becomes smaller. Use high-resolution sources and avoid putting important details near an edge.

Explain relevant differences

If lighting, angle, season, or camera settings changed, disclose that context wherever the comparison is published.

Side-by-side questions

What does the download include?

The PNG contains both rendered images, the center division, and the Before and After labels shown in the canvas.

Do photos need identical dimensions?

No, but matching aspect ratio and framing produce a clearer comparison. Different source shapes may require scaling to fit the common canvas.

Can I change the labels?

This focused tool currently uses Before and After. The video maker supports custom label text.

Are images stored online?

No. Selected images are processed in browser memory and the resulting PNG is downloaded directly to your device.
